Job Brief

We are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to support our creative team in producing consistent, high-quality visuals that align with our well-established brand identity. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys design, pays close attention to detail, and thrives in a clear visual framework.

As a Junior Designer, you will collaborate closely with senior team members to execute design tasks, update existing materials, and ensure all creative output stays true to our brand standards. While creativity is welcomed, the primary focus of this role is learning, applying, and maintaining our established look and feel across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the design team in producing digital and print assets that strictly follow our brand guidelines.
• Update and adapt existing materials while maintaining visual consistency.
• Prepare and resize artwork for various platforms and formats.
• Organize files, manage assets, and support the team in day-to-day production tasks.
• Implement feedback from senior designers quickly and accurately.
• Ensure all deliverables meet brand standards for quality, style, and tone.

What We're Looking For

• A detail-oriented designer with a solid understanding of layout, typography, and basic design principles.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Experience producing assets for multi-platform campaigns (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
• Basic animation for reels, or announcement posts (After Effects, Premiere, or Canva).
• Photography/Videography awareness – Framing shots, capturing usable stills and short clips.
• Basic video editing – Trims, colour correction, and simple transitions for social media content.
• Template creation – reusable templates for faster content production.
• Ability to follow directions closely and apply established visual guidelines.
• Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn from experienced team members.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• A portfolio that demonstrates foundational design skills.
• An added bonus to have an understanding or interest in birds, nature, or conservation.

Additional Info

• In-office role located in Mississauga, ON. This is NOT a remote position.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.
• Free parking
• Job Type: 6-month Fixed-term contract with the possibility of an extension based on company need.
• Salary: $25 p/hr
