Job Posting: Lot Attendant / Operations Assistant – Octane Used Cars

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Location: Scarborough, ON

About the Role

We are hiring a Lot Attendant / Operations Assistant who is reliable, organized, and able to take initiative without constant supervision. We are looking for someone smarter and more capable than a typical entry-level lot attendant, with good communication skills and the ability to handle tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Move, park, and organize vehicles on the lot
  • Update and maintain inventory records in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Track vehicle movement between locations and keep status accurate
  • Assist with inspections, basic QC tasks, and safety preparation
  • Communicate with management and sales staff regarding vehicle needs
  • Keep the lot clean, orderly, and presentable
  • Assist with photos and basic online posting tasks (training provided)
  • Identify issues early and act or report as needed

Requirements

  • Valid G driver's licence with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication skills and good common sense
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable using Google Sheets
  • Able to use a smartphone for photos, WhatsApp, and basic apps
  • Physically able to move around the lot and handle vehicles

Nice to Have

  • Some post-secondary education
  • Experience in automotive, warehouse, or fast-paced settings
  • Basic knowledge of cars (boosting, tire pressure checks, etc.)
