Role Summary:

As a
Technical Sales Representative
at Stormtec, you will manage inbound sales inquiries, nurture relationships with existing clients, and prospect for new business. This is an entry level position, and we're looking for someone with a strong willingness to learn, and we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to deliver solutions, this role is for you.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range CAD55,000 - CAD70,000 depending on qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support sales efforts on smaller incoming projects within the Heavy Civil Construction sector
  • Build and strengthen relationships with clients in the bottom 20% of our portfolio to improve engagement and retention
  • Conduct outbound cold calls to identify and engage new prospective clients
  • Respond to inbound sales inquiries, reviewing client documents and provide solutions with guidance from our team
  • Prepare detailed quotes and proposals, ensuring timely and accurate responses to client requests
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure smooth transitions from sales to execution
  • Track win rates, diagnose reasons for losing bids, work with sales management to improve the ratio of wins to loses
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service experience, ideally in construction or heavy civil industries (an asset).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to learn technical aspects of products and services quickly.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a willingness to engage in cold calling and relationship building.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications; familiarity with CRM systems is an asset.

Other Stuff:

  • The workweek is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The position is located at our Calgary office, and on occasions may require travel to job sites within Alberta
  • This position requires the candidate to have own vehicle transportation, and a clean drivers record
  • At Stormtec, an offer of employment is dependent on reference checks with direct managers and background checks which include criminal record check, drug& alcohol test, and driver's MVR check
