We are seeking a Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for running a section of the kitchen efficiently, ensuring high standards of food preparation, hygiene, and service are maintained.

The Line must be available from Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 3 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mise en Place and set-up

Set-up kitchen stations and make sure all stations are ready with ingredients, tools and equipment.

  • Prepare and cook dishes

Prepare keys dishes from the assigned section and provide consistency and efficiency with each plate. Use proper knife skills and preparation techniques.

  • Recipe adherence

Follow written and verbal recipes. Ensure correct and precise measurements and techniques are used. Portion each ingredient accurately.

  • Cleaning and hygiene standards

Maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness and food standards throughout prep and service

  • Stock Rotation and labeling

Demonstrate proper stock management and FIFO principles with clear labeling and date tracking. Advise when inventory is low.

  • Communicate and work in a team

Communicate and clearly and respectfully with other kitchen staff. Help the team as needed.

  • Other related tasks

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent professional experience
  • Sound knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
