Job Summary
Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and skilled DZ Driver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will operate a manual 10-speed transmission Flat bed truck, transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites. A willingness to obtain in-house Bobcat certification is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a manual 10-speed truck, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Transport construction materials and equipment to various job sites in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Load and secure cargo appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, deliveries made, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Obtain in-house Bobcat certification to operate equipment as needed on job sites.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Valid DZ driver's license.
- Experience driving manual 10-speed transmission trucks.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and obtain Bobcat certification (provided at no cost).
- Previous experience in construction or similar field preferred but not required.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and handle materials as needed.
Compensation:
- Starting pay rate: $23/hour.
- Opportunity for overtime and additional training.
