Responsibilities

  • Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or pallet jacks as needed, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
  • Follow designated delivery routes efficiently, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
  • Verify delivery orders against invoices or packing lists, ensuring accuracy before dispatching goods to customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing concerns politely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the delivery vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
  • Complete all necessary documentation such as delivery logs, route sheets, and incident reports accurately.

Experience

  • Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and experience with heavy lifting or moving goods is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or similar load-bearing vehicles.
  • Ability to lift heavy packages safely using proper manual handling techniques or equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks when required.
