Warehouse & Facility Associate
GGI Road & Traffic is a premier supplier for reliable, leading-edge traffic detection, connected vehicle devices, travel time and analytic solutions; road weather information systems (RWIS) and proprietary safety/efficiency products.
The Shipper/Receiver position is located in Aurora, Ontario and reports to the Operations Coordinator. The responsibility is for shipping, receiving, and keeping track of RMA (return material authorization) from/to customers and vendors. This individual will be required to record and track movement of all materials as well as perform general maintenance, cleaning of the warehouse and office, as well as other facility-related activities as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- ·Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices/packing slips and other shipping documents via different carriers.
- Loading and unloading of goods from trucks using a forklift.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against the packing slip and GGI's P.O., and record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- Unpack, scan the bar code and route goods to the appropriate storage location.
- Operate forklift, hand-held lift jack or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
- Interface with suppliers regarding lead time and pricing for the management team.
- Interface with internal staff to coordinate material requirements and create P.O.s when material is needed for an open order.
- Adhere to shipping and receiving policies/procedures.
- Liaise between the customers, in-house technicians, and vendors with RMAs.
- Follow GGI's RMA procedures and keep track of the incoming and outgoing RMAs.
- Follow GGI's COR and H&S policies.
- Including cleaning and garbage/cardboard box removal.
- Start-up and/or shutdown of building equipment and machinery.
- Assist in monthly warehouse inspection.
- Assist in arranging fire extinguisher and forklift checks by outside dedicated vendors.
- Communicate relevant information to internal and external stakeholders when required.
- Understand and comply with project retention policies and standards.
- Adhere to record retention policies and standards, and comply with the filing system.
- Create and work with an Excel spreadsheet and Word documents.
- Other duties as required.

Education Requirements
· Completion of secondary school is required.
Work Experience Requirements
- Experience in a related clerical occupation or as a warehouse worker may be required
- 1 year of experience in a workhouse environment
- Worked with Excel spreadsheets and Word documents from scratch, and maintained them.
Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements
- · Knowledge of the QA receipt inspection process is an asset
- Forklift certificate (must be able to obtain)
- Valid Ontario Driver's License
- Ability to lift up to 50 Lbs
- Must possess good communication skills and be a team player
- Safety-conscious, attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
