Overview

Rockport Commercial Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman/women Carpenter Team Lead Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ICF foundations and a proven track record of leading a team effectively. As a personable leader, you will supervise a team of up to 10 employees while also actively working on-site as a carpenter, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of up to 10 carpenters in various construction projects
  • Participate in hands-on carpentry work, applying your expertise and experience on the job site.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements and communicate these effectively to the team.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to safety regulations and building codes.
  • Plan and coordinate daily tasks to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor work quality and safety practices on-site, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of new team members.
  • Address any team-related issues and implement solutions to enhance productivity.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Carpenter certification.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience with ICF foundations.
  • Minimum Class 5 Driver's License
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Technologically Literate
  • ICF foundation experience an asset.
  • Carpenter Journeyman designation an asset.

Work Conditions

  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
  • May involve lifting, climbing, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
  • Exposure to loud noises, dust, and construction site hazards.
  • Will be expected to use and maintain consistency on our construction management software
