The Canadian Operations Finance team provides financial guidance across Canadian Ops, including to the COO and leadership team. The Manager supports FP&A for the Ops function, focusing on expense reporting, policy, and controls. This role requires strong collaboration with the Expense Shared Services team and Strategy partners and plays a key role in delivering accurate financial insights and maintaining a robust control environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monthly reporting: Supporting the production of financial reports and analysis for the Canadian Ops function including the monthly operating report (MOR). This may include closed loop reporting on progress against targets, and overall success of project delivery or cost containment initiatives in driving expense and FTE savings.

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Supporting the annual financial planning process and monthly forecasting for the Operations function including project management and coordination, analysis and messaging for consolidated results, and developing guidance and ensuring consistency of approach and tools across the function.

  • Analysis: Performing key financial analysis for the Canadian COO, CFOs, and GMs on an ongoing basis. While involving many of the above items (budgeting, reporting, SCM, etc.) it also entails producing in-depth analyses/forecasting/recommendations for targeted expense items, cost benefit analyses, fixed/variable costing, vendor analyses, offshoring assessments, and staffing models.

  • Supporting the Ops Strategy team including financial analysis and advice for critical initiatives, analysis, and management/board reporting.

  • Transformation: Working to continuously improve processes to gain efficiency in production, standardize and enhance quality of information. Support implementation of the Global Operations Strategy program for the Ops Finance team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) preferred with 5+ years of related experience

  • Strong Financial planning & analysis experience and financial modeling skills

  • Knowledge of sound business practices and controls, and accounting/audit principles

  • Inspiring leader through continuously forward looking and applying the big picture with high level of initiative

  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving.

  • Effective multitasking and prioritization in fast paced environments.

Salary range is expected to be between

$80,700.00 CAD - $145,260.00 CAD
