We are seeking a
Bilingual Business Analyst
in Canada, with a strong business acumen in Finance.

The ideal candidates boast a minimum of 5 years of hands-on expertise in Finance, are proficient in both French and English to facilitate seamless communication and have a proven track record of excelling in a consultant role. This role is for an existing vacancy that we are looking to fill as soon as the right candidate is selected.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Collaborate with and direct stakeholders on best practices while gathering and defining project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and user needs, drawing on experience, education and precedence to identify holistic solutions and improvements.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business requirements and current systems, drawing on strong understanding of own domain and other relating domains to ensure proposed solution does not impede performance of proposed solution.
  • Lead and supervise the work of supporting functional Business Analysts within their specific domain.
  • Assist the Project Manager with project planning, estimation, and risk management activities for complex projects with large budgets.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements and timely issue resolution, leading the collaboration efforts cross-functionally.
  • Accountable for the delegation of or the conducting of training sessions and creating user documentation to ensure smooth adoption of new software features.
  • Lead the design and architecture discussions, offering insights and best practices to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Accountable for quality assurance testing to validate that the software meets specified requirements and functions as intended.
  • Support cross-functional communication in conjunction with the Solutions Architect to ensure that the proposed domain solution does not impede the holistic solution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices within the domain(s) which they lead to ensure the software solutions align with current industry standards.
  • Maintain IFS annual (re)certification within the domain module(s) they support.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for their specific domain(s) for business processes, systems, and software functionality.

MUST Have
:

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within business expertise areas
  • Minimum 5 years Manufacturing; Energy & Utilities; Service Sector; Construction & Engineering; Shipping & Harbour Services; Aviation & Defence
  • Minimum 3 years on client-facing roles
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with project management software tools
  • 50% availability for travel, including travel to the US and internationally
  • Legally entitled to work in the country you are applying for
