Role Description

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team at Function Bar & Kitchen. As Chef, you'll lead and manage the kitchen, create innovative menus, manage costs and budgets, and ensure food quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage kitchen staff, including menu planning, task assignment, and daily supervision.

  • Create innovative menus that meet customer needs and preferences.

  • Manage costs and budgets, ensuring they stay within established limits.

  • Ensure food quality and safety, complying with regulations and standards.

  • Collaborate with management to set kitchen goals and evaluate staff performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a chef in high-quality restaurants, cruise ships, luxury hotels, or lodges.

  • Knowledge of avant-garde cuisine and international gastronomy.

  • Canadian food handling certification.

  • Exceptional leadership and management skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in dynamic environments such as cruise ships, large hotels, and lodges.

  • Proven track record of creating and managing innovative menus.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising kitchen staff.

Offer

  • Salary: $36.5 per hour.
