POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Term Position Available (Anticipated Start February 9, 2026 )

SALARY: $65,109 - $102,091 per annum

• The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $3,000 or $6,000 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

DUTIES

Reporting to the Chair, Electrical Engineering Technology, Red River College Polytechnic is looking for an Instructor for Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, advising of students, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. Examples of subject areas are PLCs, Heat Transfer and Thermodynamics, Distributed Control Systems, and Robotics and Automation. The incumbent is also required to participate in department and College committees and assist in student orientation and graduation activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary education in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent
• Significant industry experience in a field related to one of the engineering technologies described above
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to teach on campus and remotely
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
• Effective analytical skills
• Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
• Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education
• Experience with DeltaV software
• M-Class license
• Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation in the Province of Manitoba
• Hands on cabling/wiring experience
• Experience with National Instruments Labview and MultiSim software

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
• This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
• Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
• May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
