Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to order, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent kitchen skills, and experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
  • Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
  • Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures at all times
  • Assist with food plating and garnishing to ensure attractive presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
  • Stock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional service during busy hours
  • Adhere to health regulations and safety guidelines in all aspects of food handling and preparation

Skills

  • Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to efficiently prepare meals while maintaining high quality standards
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
  • Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices in meal preparation
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
  • Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
