We are hiring a temporary Event Coordinator – FIFA Support who will support the Events team by working closely with the Event Team, Internal Departments and suppliers to provide coordination and support of events planning and delivery at BC Place during the FIFA World Cup and other events at the stadium in 2026. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Event Operations and be part of a team that brings unforgettable experiences to life. The Event Coordinator possesses professional customer service skills, intermediate level administration skills and is dedicated to meeting our service excellence standards while showing pride and enthusiasm in daily tasks. This position requires a high degree of detail orientation, the ability to take direction while working independently and a passion for the event/hospitality industry.This is a full-time temporary position specifically tied to FIFA-related operations, expected to conclude July 31, 2026.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Event Coordination As directed by the Senior Manager, Event Operations, assist in the event planning process by engaging clients in discussion about their event details.Communicate client requirements internally to provisioning departments. Support on event changes and unique requirements.Handle internal facility meetings as required and assigned by the Events teamAdministrative Support and Department Responsibilities Provide back up to the Events Team in areas of event planning, Momentus data entry, responding to general event related and client inquiries and general administrative duties for the department.Provides administrative support related to meeting scheduling, office communication, operations, appointments and general administration.Directs office activities and functions to maintain efficiency and compliance with company processes and policiesProvides support to travel bookings, purchase orders and requisitionsPlans and coordinates internal and external meeting invitations and meeting logisticsWorks closely with other departments to maintain strong work relationships as well as fostering relationships with external stakeholders May be required to support specific projects Assists with BC Place community initiativesAssists and supports the broader BC Place Event Team as required.Assisting on maintaining and updated service standards and SOPsSupport day-of event coordination WHAT YOU WILL BRING:1-3 years' experience in event coordinator or a similar role, Grade 12 diploma or equivalentA certificate/diploma or degree in office administration, hospitality, tourism, event management or a related field is preferred Proven track record of supporting and implementing new initiatives and working with diverse groups of people.Experience using Momentus, (EBMS -Event Business Management System) or a similar event business management system an asset.Familiarity with project management tools are an asset.IT, digital and media literate including the use of desktop programs and tablets.Demonstrated ability to use innovation in support of service excellence delivery.Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decision-making.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time.Empathetic and attentive to the needs of guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.Strong written and verbal communication.Commitment to providing excellent customer service and guest experience.Ability to exercise sound business judgment generating effective solutions quickly and/or raising issues to management as necessary.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Motivated self-starter with a proactive attitude.Willing and able to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight shifts. The salary range for this position is $51,393 - $64,241Offers will be in line with PavCo's internal pay equity and qualified candidate's experience and education.
