Nature of position: Part-time Support Worker

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: As per the most recent collective agreement

Shift schedule : Monday, Tuesday, 9 am to 2 pm, Wednesday, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, Thursday, 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Friday 9 am to 1 pm

Location: Kelowna, BC

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the area supervisor, manager or executive director, the support worker assists, teaches and supports individuals in volunteerism, employment, recreation, leisure and life skills in residential and community settings. The successful applicant will ensure quality services, adapt to meet the specific service requests and perform duties specific to the assigned location. We are looking for someone who can bring new and exciting adventures to our organization. Someone who enjoys being outgoing, creative, and flexible to changing situations. You will help facilitate problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications (must have or be willing to obtain): Valid CPR / First Aid Certificate, TB test, Hepatitis B Vaccine, Physicians Declaration * (a physician who has known you for at least two years), Food Safe, Valid Class 4 driver's license, Drivers Abstract, Business Class car Insurance, Daily use of a vehicle, Satisfactory criminal records check.
