Position summary
We are looking for a passionate and driven individual who is enthusiastic about working with our products. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Specification Representative will be responsible for ensuring that Stanpro lighting products are specified in professional specifications by developing strong relationships with engineers, architects and designers of the GTA region.
Your main responsibilities will be the following:
- Represent and promote Stanpro lighting products to professionals in engineering, architecture and design environments;
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with specifiers such as; engineers, architects, designers, landscape architects, municipal professionals, designers and owners to ensure that our Stanpro�s products are specified for all projects;
- Developing and preparing technical specifications and work scopes;
- Assist clients in the lighting design process and seek opportunities to specify the Stanpro�s products;
- Continually increase knowledge of products, trends, technology and industry to better serve customers;
- Collect and provide market information, pricing trends, new competitor products and any relevant subject to the sales and marketing the team;
- Provide lighting expertise and technical support to our partner;
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure good communication within the department and other services.
Required skills and qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience with working with engineers
- Great knowledge of the lighting industry
- Post-secondary education
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, in English.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint);
- Excellent ability to work in a team and individually;
- Strong ability to evaluate and change priorities as needed;
- Motivated and able to work in a dynamic environment;
- Strong organizational skills.
