Water Treatment Fabricator/Operator

Job Summary

Banner Environmental Engineering Consultants Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Water Fabricator/Operator to join our team. This will be a full time term position requiring shift work and travel to/from Calgary, AB.

The successful applicant will work with the Banner team of Engineers, Scientists, Technologists and Operators to undertake the fabrication and operation of a groundwater water treatment systems for a large construction Project located in BC. Key Responsibilities:

• Travel with 14 on/14 off 12-hour per day Shift Work (Alternating Days and Night Shifts)
• Construction/fabrication of Water Treatment System based on Engineered Drawings
• Material Procurement
• Measure, cut, thread, groove and assemble piping and fittings
• Coordinate with other trades (electricians, welders, etc.)
• Operation and maintenance of a water treatment system including pump systems, filter maintenance, basic plumbing and electrical as required.
• Daily water sample collection and analysis
• Detailed data recording, electronic data input, data analysis and report preparation - Constructing, maintaining, and operating standard laboratory equipment
• Develop a strong knowledge of Banners standards, policies, procedures and workplace culture.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Construction Experience
• Strong mechanical and/or mathematical aptitude.
• Grade 12 Diploma
• Bachelors of Science in Engineering considered an asset
• Technical Diploma or Degree in relevant field considered an asset
• AWWOA Level 1/2/3 considered an asset
• Willingness for travel and shift work
• Ability to multi-task and self motivate
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License, acceptable driving record with 3 years driving experience
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, solutions based, Consulting Engineering environment with a focus on personal growth and willing to accept new and challenging assignments.
• Deliverable-based mind set considered an asset.
• A positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: $24.00-$42.00 per hour
