What is the opportunity?
Join our Global Markets Supervision team, where you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving governance, oversight, and strategic growth initiatives. As Vice President, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders across Global Markets to ensure compliance with market regulatory requirements, align with internal policies, and adopt industry best practices. This role requires a strategic mindset and a focus on innovation, leadership, and process enhancement to support supervisory activities across asset classes. A VP-level candidate is required to assist GM Supervision, specifically in North America. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to global and cross-divisional initiatives as required. The VP will be accountable for helping drive improved performance and operational effectiveness, with a proactive approach to controls and risk management.
What will you do?
As a Vice President, you will focus on leadership, growth, and strategic oversight:
Lead Governance and Risk Initiatives: Partner with front-office teams and stakeholders to drive governance and risk management strategies that align with regulatory and organizational priorities.
Foster Innovation: Leverage AI tools, data analytics, and emerging technologies to transform supervisory processes, enhance efficiency, and identify growth opportunities.
Monitor Regulatory Developments: Assess the impact of regulatory changes on Global Markets activities and lead the implementation of necessary adjustments.
Build and Strengthen Relationships: Cultivate strong partnerships with internal teams, including Sales/Trading, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, Technology, and Operations, to align on strategic goals and enhance the First Line control suite on an ongoing basis.
Formulate and Document Control Requirements: Develop and document control requirements and logics to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with best practices.
Drive Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate key supervisory tasks, ensuring operational excellence and scalability. Contribute to strategic initiatives to improve control design, workflows, and processes across obligations.
Analyze Data and Trends: Leverage data insights to identify enhancements to existing controls, improve control effectiveness, and reduce risk exposure.
Deliver on Strategic Objectives: Oversee cross-functional projects, ensuring timely execution, alignment with business priorities, and measurable impact. Participate in cross-functional working groups, drive discussions of supervisory and control solutions, and achieve consensus.
Mentor and Develop Talent: Provide leadership and coaching to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Train Teams on Control Tooling: Ensure associated personnel are equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively use controls tooling.
What do you need to succeed?
Basic Qualifications – Must Have:
7+ years of experience in Global Markets or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial markets (e.g., macro, and spread products).
Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives within a complex matrixed organization.
Strong attention to detail, strategic thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Other Required Qualifications – Nice to Have:
Advanced degree in Finance, Statistics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks, governance, and risk management best practices.
Track record of identifying and executing growth opportunities within a financial services context.
