Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. This role is vital in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and the ability to manage daily store functions effectively. Bilingual abilities are a plus, as well as proficiency in various retail systems and administrative tasks. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, pricing, and inventory management
  • Lead and supervise store staff, providing training & development to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
  • Manage payroll, cash handling, and bookkeeping activities with accuracy and integrity
  • Implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets through effective team management and customer engagement
  • Coordinate purchasing and POS transactions to ensure smooth checkout processes
  • Conduct recruiting efforts, interviewing candidates, and onboarding new employees
  • Develop marketing initiatives to promote store products and enhance brand visibility
  • Monitor store budget adherence and assist in financial planning and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels

Experience

  • Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail or related fields with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong background in retail sales, merchandising, POS systems, and cash handling
  • Experience in recruiting, training & development, and team management
  • Proficiency in budgeting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks such as payroll processing
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies within a retail setting is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with strong time management skills
  • Previous experience with pricing strategies, sales management, and store operations is highly desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
