Renovation Carpenter — Suite Turnarounds

We're a fast-paced property-renovation team specializing in suite turnarounds for rental and multi-unit properties. We value craftsmanship, on-time completion, safety, and clear communication with property managers and vendors.

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced carpenter to perform renovation and finish-work on suite turnarounds. The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, quality-focused, and comfortable working independently or as part of a small crew to prepare suites for re‑renting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform carpentry tasks for suite turnovers: patching, trim/casing installation, door repair/replacement, baseboards, closet systems, shelving, and minor framing

  • Install/repair cabinets, countertops, and hardware as required

  • Remove and reinstall fixtures and millwork during painting/cleanup

  • Repair drywall, install backer boards, and perform basic tile backer work for small repairs

  • Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately; read basic plans or scope-of-work sheets

  • Coordinate with painters, flooring crews, plumbers, and property managers to meet turnaround schedule

  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and ensure debris removal at end of job

  • Report material needs, unexpected issues, and status updates promptly

  • Ensure work meets client and building-code standards

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' carpentry experience (renovation/finish carpentry preferred)

  • Proficient with hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and common fasteners/adhesives

  • Strong finishing skills: trim, doors, cabinetry, and accurate layout

  • Ability to read basic drawings, job scopes, and take accurate measurements

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between sites during the day

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Able to lift ~50 lbs, work on ladders, and perform physical labor for full shift

  • Good communication skills and professional demeanor with property managers and tenants

Preferred:

  • Construction trade ticket, apprenticeship, or relevant certification

  • Experience with multi-unit/turnaround workflows and fast turnaround schedules

  • Basic drywall and tile experience

  • Familiarity with landlord/tenant property standards and inspection requirements
