Role description:

Our office in Markham is searching for a Civil Engineering Designer to join its growing team. You will be a key member of a focused and dedicated team. The group provides preliminary design services, detailed design services, preparation of tender documents, assistance with procurement and tender evaluation, contract administration, engineering services during construction and post construction services for civil work. The projects are for both private and public clients in various jurisdictions.

Role accountabilities:

  • Work directly with our team of engineers and technologists towards the completion of civil construction projects
  • Preparation of construction documents, calculations, and reports for public or private clients
  • Design of public infrastructure roads, sidewalks, stormwater and utility improvements
  • Design of subdivision master plans, site plans, grading plans, and utility plans for new developments and redevelopments
  • Preparation of development cost estimates and contract award
  • Participate in the construction of the project to assist in the successful completion
  • Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completed Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
  • 1-2 years of experience in engineering related land or site development
  • Proficient skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management, and client management experience; and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 per year. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
