The Junior or Intermediate Advanced Analytics Professional is responsible for creating predictive models, tools, and processes based on internal and external data to improve business decision making and the customer experience. The Intermediate Advanced Analytics Professional reports to the Team Leader/Manager, Advanced Analytics to deliver on project requirements.
The Advanced Analytics Professional leverages past work experience in data mining/predictive modelling to explore and analyze large amounts of data to discover meaningful patterns. The team member creates stakeholder-facing deliverables to explain insights to business stakeholders and deliver a high-quality business solution.
- Apply professional experience with analytics software to extract, analyze, and model data for Advanced Analytics projects, supported by leaders and more senior team members.
- Run recurrent team processes to refresh prior models and tools developed by the Advanced Analytics team.
- Work with leaders to prepare and present high-quality deliverables to communicate project insights and influence the adoption of recommendations.
- Conduct industry, demographic, and other consumer research to understand new data sources and applications of analytics.
- Respond to routine, ad-hoc requests of internal and external stakeholders.
- Focus on innovation and process improvement to promote leading practice and efficiency across the organization.
What do you bring to this role?
- A university degree in data science, statistics, computer science, operations research, or a related discipline.
- Two years of work experience in data mining and/or predictive modelling, including expertise in certain major areas of data science/analytics (i.e., data wrangling, data visualization, predictive modelling, statistics, machine learning, big data analytics, geospatial analytics, and optimization).
- Strong communication (oral/written) and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- Significant experience with data mining/statistical programming software (e.g., R, Python).
Strong programming skills and efficient use of Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Access, VBA).
Ability to guide and coach more junior team members through technical project work and deliverable creation.Salary Range - Jr. - $53,800 - $106,400
- Salary Range - Intermediate - $65,200 - $123,000
