Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations on construction sites, renovation projects, and ongoing facility maintenance. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities, adhering to CEC (Canadian Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to execute precise electrical work.
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
- Work on construction sites performing wiring, conduit installation, framing carpentry related to electrical infrastructure, and renovation projects.
- Install and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems essential for automation processes.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure electrical work aligns with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance records.
Requirements
- Valid journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification with proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical work.
- Demonstrated experience working with high voltage and low voltage systems across construction or renovation projects.
- Strong knowledge of CEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical code compliance.
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrician.
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other electrical testing devices.
- Construction site experience including framing carpentry skills and maintenance person capabilities for miscellaneous tasks.
- Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints accurately while following safety protocols diligently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently.
