Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, including seniors and those with disabilities. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
  • Assist in case management by coordinating services and resources for clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those dealing with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in home care, nursing home settings, or senior care is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in case management is beneficial but not required.
  • A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Must be able to pass background checks as required by the organization.
