Job Description:

Elementary Special Education Occasional Teacher

The Niagara Children's Centre School invites applications for the position of Occasional Special Education Teacher. Occasional Teachers are eligible to work daily assignments and apply to long term assignments with the NCCSA. The Teacher will lead and work within a multidisciplinary team, providing education and therapy to students who have physical and/or communication disabilities.

Location: Niagara Children's Centre School Authority 567 Glenridge Ave., St. Catharines

Qualifications:

  • Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Additional Special Education qualifications would be an asset
  • Experience with assistive technology/Augmentative & Alternative communication would be an asset

Conditions of Employment:

  • Maintain good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers;
  • Upon hire, provide a Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within six months);
  • Agreement to comply with the Board's policies, procedures and code of conduct;
  • Complete an annual offense declaration process.

Compensation:

Compensation is based on a daily rate of $294.41

Start Date:

Hiring for occasional/supply work starting as soon as possible. You may supply for multiple boards at the same time (DSBN, NCDSB, etc.).
