Freeport Recovery is a private, residential behavioral health facility in St. Catharines, Ontario. Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our clinical team at Freeport Recovery.
The nurse will play a key role in providing daily care, monitoring client health, administering medications, and supporting the overall therapeutic environment of the program. This is a client-focused role that values empathy, professionalism, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day nursing care to residents within the behavioral health and addiction recovery program.
- Conduct client assessments, monitor vitals, and document health changes accurately and promptly.
- Administer medications in accordance with program protocols and professional standards.
- Support clients experiencing withdrawal, emotional distress, or other health-related challenges.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
- Participate in daily team meetings and contribute to individualized care plans.
- Maintain health and safety standards, infection control, and accurate clinical documentation.
- Promote an environment of compassion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare, residential, or behavioral health setting preferred.
- Experience with addiction recovery, mental health, or wellness-focused care is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Flexible, calm, and compassionate under pressure.
Hours & Schedule
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available.

- Weekend availability may be required on rotation.
