Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced
Oracle Xstore Developer
with strong hands-on expertise in the Oracle Retail POS Suite. The ideal candidate will design, develop, customize, and support Oracle Xstore-based retail solutions while following Oracle-recommended best practices. This role involves close collaboration with QA, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality retail POS implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and customize components of the
    Oracle Retail POS Suite
    , including
    Xstore, Xenvironment, Xadmin, Xcenter, and XServices
    .
  • Provide technical expertise in enabling technologies and POS customizations.
  • Perform technical analysis and solution design aligned with customer needs and Oracle best practices.
  • Build and execute
    unit tests and unit test plans
    using
    XUnit
    .
  • Develop and support
    payment integrations
    using
    EFT-Link
    and third-party payment providers.
  • Manage
    Xstore build, release, and deployment
    activities using CI/CD tools such as
    Jenkins, GitLab, and Bitbucket
    .
  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, document, and maintain application systems for moderately to highly complex projects.
  • Collaborate with
    QA and Business Analysts
    to develop and execute test plans.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for assigned systems.
  • Identify system gaps and recommend
    process and performance improvements
    .
  • Mentor and guide junior developers and team members as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5–7 years
    of experience designing, developing, customizing, and implementing
    Oracle Retail POS systems
    .
  • Minimum 5 years
    of hands-on development and customization experience with the
    Oracle Xstore Suite
    .
  • Strong expertise in
    Core Java, Spring MVC, XML, XML parsers
    , and
    SOAP/REST web services
    .
  • Experience with
    CI/CD pipelines
    and DevOps practices for Xstore deployments.
  • Solid understanding of application architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Excellent
    verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
    .
  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science, Information Technology
    , or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating
    Oracle Retail Xstore Suite
    with other Oracle Retail components.
  • Knowledge of
    Oracle Retail deployments on Cloud platforms
    .
  • Exposure to large-scale retail environments and enterprise POS rollouts.
