Mill Maintenance Millwright
Our client is seeking a Millwright to join their team. Reporting to the Mill Mechanical Supervisor, the Millwright is responsible for providing repairs, overhauls, and new builds to mining related equipment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Repairing, servicing and rebuilding equipment as directed.
- Actively participating in developing and building preventative maintenance schedules and objectives.
- Supporting all departmental initiatives with a concentration on preventative maintenance and construction initiatives.
- Install, maintain, modify and repair machinery and stationary equipment.
- Repair pipes and some other outdoor work.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends to prepare mechanical maintenance reports.
- Operate Mobile equipment.
- Perform hot work such as cutting and welding.
- Follow health and safety policies to ensure safety and environmental protection.

- Candidates must demonstrate good verbal and written communications skills
- Demonstrates a strong attention to detail
- Willing to adapt and work in an inclusive work environment
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks
- Comfortable working at heights
- Able to work outdoors and inclement weather conditions
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Journeyperson Trade Certificate as Industrial Mechanic/Millwright
- Dual trade designation/certification is considered an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience, including 2 years of experience in a mine setting is required.
ROTATION:
THIS IS A FIFO BASED ROLE OUT OF THUNDER BAY ON A 7 X 7 OR 14 X 14 DAY ROTATION.
