We're Hiring: Marketing Coordinator

Calgary, AB | Hybrid | Part-Time or Full-Time

Social Boss Inc. is a Calgary-based marketing + communications agency working with some of the city's most exciting small businesses across hospitality, retail, wellness, lifestyle, and local brands.

We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator who can support across social media, email marketing, blogs, SEO, and digital organization — someone who loves variety, thrives on structure, and wants real hands-on agency experience.

This isn't a one-task role. It's for someone who wants to be involved in the full picture.

The Role

This position sits at the center of our marketing execution.

You'll be supporting our internal team and multiple client accounts with everything from social posting and blog content to website edits and SEO support.

Some days are creative.

Some days are organizational.

Most days are a mix of both.

If you like structure but also enjoy creative problem-solving, this role will be a perfect fit.

Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Support

You'll help with the day-to-day execution of client accounts:

• Scheduling and posting social content
• Caption writing & formatting
• Organizing and uploading content assets
• Assisting with content calendars & approvals
• Supporting engagement & account coordination

Content & Blog Management

• Assist with blog writing, formatting, and uploading to client websites
• Support SEO optimization (meta titles, keywords, internal links)
• Organize blog and content libraries
• Ensure brand tone and formatting consistency across platforms

Email Marketing

• Support email campaign building, scheduling, and testing
• Format newsletters and promotional emails
• Assist with list updates and basic reporting
• Support content writing for campaigns

Website & Digital Updates

• Make content updates to client websites (WordPress / Shopify)
• Update service pages, blog posts, landing pages
• Assist with website content organization and quality control
• Support basic technical checks and issue reporting

SEO & Search Presence

• Support Google Business Profile updates
• Assist with review monitoring + response organization
• Update local listings and SEO-related content
• Help track basic SEO performance and improvements

Organization & Project Support

• Maintain clean and organized content folders and client assets
• Help manage content calendars & trackers
• Support internal processes and workflow organization
• Assist with documentation of systems and SOPs as we scale

Creator & Partner Support

• Support influencer / content creator coordination
• Help manage content deliveries and asset usage
• Maintain basic partner tracking and organization

Who You Are

You're probably someone who:

• Is naturally organized but still creative
• Has strong writing skills
• Understands social media culture and platforms
• Is tech-comfortable and picks up tools quickly
• Likes variety instead of repetition
• Thrives in fast-moving environments
• Wants to grow inside a marketing agency
• Lives in or around Calgary

You don't have to know everything — but you do need to be curious, proactive, and willing to learn.

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Loved)

• Experience in a marketing, communications, or agency environment
• Canva or Adobe skills
• WordPress or Shopify experience
• Familiarity with tools like Later, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp or Klaviyo
• Basic understanding of SEO and digital analytics
