Senior Program Manager – ERP/SCM Transformation

Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Senior Program Manager to work on an ERP/SCM Transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of the Discovery Phase, ensuring all core activities (capabilities gathering, procurement input gathering, evaluation, development of implementation business case including options, roadmap/project plan, budget, etc.) are completed on time and on budget.

• Conduct a stakeholder impact analysis to define and establish the core project and delivery teams, ensuring the necessary resources from across the organization are included

• Establish governance for the project, including a steering committee, while ensuring adherence to LDB decision-making frameworks and reporting structures.

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive program status reporting, aligning milestones with project objectives and outcomes including executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and recommendations.

• Oversee budget planning and financial tracking for the Discovery Phase.

• Lead stakeholder engagement, change management and communication planning, ensuring transparency and alignment across business units.

• Ensure quality assurance of deliverables, including output from the capabilities gathering workshops.

• Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization – quickly establishing and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders.

• Ability to understand the requirements of functional areas within business units to ensure achievement of project goals.

• Expertise in managing governance/steering committees (Executive Directors and Directors) to obtain clarification on goals/ objectives, manage expectations and provide expertise and recommendations.

• Ability to identify potential project risks and bottlenecks and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.

• Expertise in leading and preparing key project deliverables such as gathering of business capabilities, review and analysis of project options, business cases and project charters.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Thorough understanding of program management methodology, including Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.

• Minimum 10 years of experience leading large-scale, complex software engineering or enterprise transformation projects using standardized project management and change management principles and methodologies.

• Experience with large-scale ERP/SCM cloud migration projects.

• Experience negotiating resource allocation across multiple teams and establishing governance.

• Scrum Master Certification.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with retail/wholesale businesses.

• Knowledge of the liquor industry.

• Familiarity with JIRA, MS project tools, and SharePoint.
