Truck Driver - Class AZ Dry Bulk

PDI is currently looking to fill a full-time Local OTR job opportunity at our Thorold, ON terminal.

What you'll do as one of our Class AZ Dry Bulk Truck Drivers:

  • Operating trucks safely and professionally to transport goods and materials in Canada & USA
  • Maintaining records of pickup and deliveries and obtaining necessary signatures/receipts.
  • Maintaining all required certifications in line with MTO, Health & Safety, and company policies.
  • Accounting for all time and for all distance travelled in performing assigned duties.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature, and road conditions.
  • Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, logs, sheets, and incident reporting.
  • Performing product delivery verification at the customer location via ISAAC.
  • Following health and safety and safe work procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Driver's License (Class A)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate; Manual Transmission is an asset but not required
  • 3 to 5 years' experience preferred, will train as needed
  • Weight Handling: More than 45kg. (100lbs.)
  • Security and Safety: Must have a valid criminal record check, driving record check (abstract), and drug test.
  • Loading and unloading goods, use of ISAAC, receive and relay information to dispatcher.
  • Professionalism in customer service.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding.
