About the role

LTL Contracting Ltd. is seeking a Junior Tower Crusher Operator/ Grounds Person to join our team If you have mechanical experience or eager to learn and grow working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily inspections on conveyors, screen decks, and crusher box.
  • Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine maintenance on machinery (mechanical experience preferred).
  • Identify and report equipment issues and required wear parts to the supervisor promptly.
  • Monitor plant operations to ensure safe and consistent production.
  • Listen for unusual noises or signs of malfunction.
  • Operate and relocate tracked conveyors as needed.
  • Adjust crusher settings to optimize performance and product gradation.
  • Maintain strong communication with ground crew to ensure an efficient and safe workflow.
  • Complete all required daily paperwork, including logs, inspections, and hours of service reports.
  • Ensure crushed material meets specifications, making necessary adjustments as required.

Key Assets:

  • Must use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and out-of-town assignments.
  • Ability to thrive in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment while promoting a positive and safe workplace.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather, dusty, and noisy conditions.
  • Must follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to pass a drug/alcohol test and fit-for-work assessment.
  • Ability to pass a self-declared background check.
