Who are you?
To build upon our leadership team and capacity, we are looking for a Managing Director to translate and grow the mission many foundational leaders past and present have built. We are seeking an experienced leader with a deep passion for community and an innovative mindset focused on intentional growth. This individual understands systems thinking and brings empathy to supporting youth and their lived experiences. Kickback empowers youth to step into their potential, so our efforts and focus are on designing the organization in a way to maximize skill and youth development, and we value the ability to open doors both on the ground and across sectors. As Kickback continues to grow in size and impact, youth remain at the centre of everything we do.
Position Overview
The Managing Director works closely with the Executive Director & Founder to translate vision into actionable strategy, ensuring alignment across teams, stakeholders, and long-term objectives. They also collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while
maintaining focus on long-term sustainability and strategic growth. In addition, the Managing Director provides oversight of grant systems and funding processes, ensuring they are efficient, accountable, and aligned with organizational goals and provide high-level leadership in the strategic design, implementation, and evaluation of the organization's core programs to ensure they effectively meet community needs and align with partner and funder expectations.
They play a key role in sustaining and strengthening the organization's funding pipeline through strategic fundraising, partnership development, and donor relationship management. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who can bridge vision and execution, a leader who can connect the dots at a systems level while remaining grounded in what it takes to deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes.
