Your New Role

The Building Engineer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of a retail and office facility. This role is Monday - Friday afternoon shifts plus being a part of an on call rotation. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate has experience as a Building Operator / Engineer on commercial and retail properties. Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing repairs as well as regular and scheduled maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure WorkSafe BC regulations are met and Enforce WorkSafeBC safety standards.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, inspections and equipment performance.
  • Provide leadership to your team, stakeholders, and clients.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 4th Class Power Engineer Certification.
  • Experience with HVAC, DDC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
  • Prior building engineer / building operator experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
