Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead – Microservices Developer with strong expertise in designing and developing microservices architectures for cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop microservices architecture for cloud-based applications.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and ensure secure, scalable integrations.
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS or GCP using cloud-native services.
  • Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and cloud standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments.

Must Have Skills and Experience

  • Experience: 8+ years in backend development, with at least 2+ years in microservices architecture.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, or (or similar frameworks).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP services (e.g., Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, Pub/Sub).
  • Expertise in RESTful API design and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
  • Understanding of cloud security, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
  • Exposure to serverless computing and cloud-native frameworks.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch).
  • Strong grasp of SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.

Nice to Have

  • Insurance business experience, especially related to Guidewire.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
