Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or an experienced Dental Assistant (DA) to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting although we can train new grads. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction. This position will require candidate to work on some days as a receptionist. We will provide training for reception duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using cleardent software.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties, including answering phones and greeting patients.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance patient care and streamline office operations.

Experience

  • Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) is preferred; however, candidates with significant experience as a Dental Assistant will be considered.
  • Proficiency in cleardent dental software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
