IT Specialist - AI Product Lead
Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Edmonds 12
Employment type: Permanent Region: Lower Mainland
Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid
Annual salary: $ 127, ,800.00
What you'll do
- Provide leadership and technical expertise to support the development and deployment of AI-powered products and
solutions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI driven innovation.
- Support the prioritization of features and initiatives based on business value / impact and technical feasibility
- Liaise with various technology teams (e.g., platform SME's, developers, B.A.'s, cybersecurity, infrastructure, etc.)
and data scientists providing direction on AI solution requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to AI adoption, including ethical, regulatory and operational risk.
- Drive proof of concepts and pilot programs for emerging AI technologies.
- Act as a subject matter expert for AI within the organization.
- Provide input into the development of responsible AI practices; including policies and procedures.
- Lead and / or support the development of investment justifications and business cases to support AI initiatives.
- Stay ahead of AI trends and emerging technologies to support the development of business and technical
roadmaps.
- Be a champion of AI related technologies that are aligned with IT and company-wide vision
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or other relevant discipline.
- AI/ML certifications is considered an asset
- 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in AI/ML or data driven products.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, including data preparation, prompt engineering, model development,
deployment and monitoring.
- Familiar with MLOps / DevOps methodologies
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and SaaS solutions
- Experience contributing to architectural design document (i.e., architecture vision), complex business process maps
(BPMN 2.0 knowledge would be an asset) and other operational documents.
- Knowledge of data governance
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Capable of working independently with multiple stakeholders to gather information, refine concepts and articulate
user requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (both English written and oral) skills and the ability to work efficiently,
independently and in a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills, combined with good judgement and ability to learn quickly.
- Strong in listening, planning, coordination and communication in professional manner
- Have experience using Microsoft M365 tools (eg, Outlook, Onenote, Teams, Word, Sharepoint)
- Experience with task management tools like JIRA would be an asset.

This role will require the individual to be in the office a minimum of 2 days a week. Typically office days will be Tuesday and
Wednesday.
