Mississauga, Ontario, Canada DIRECT LUMPER SERVICE Inc. Full time

DIRECT LUMPER SERVICE is a full time lumper service operating throughout the GTA. We are looking for experienced lumpers to offload, palletize and shrink wrap product on floor loaded shipping containers in the Brampton, Mississauga, Etobicoke and Milton regions. We need quality workers who have done this type of work before. Individuals that have their own transportation, being able to use a counterbalance (forklift) and willingness to work cold storage will be placed as priority. If qualified then we can speak in more detail on the phone.

Applicants need to currently live in the Greater Toronto Area, preferably Mississauga or Brampton.

Responsibilities:

  • Load / unload products manually off of containers, trailers or repalletize skidded product.
  • Keeping track of correct piece count and weight and verifying information with paperwork
  • Notify Supervisor of any piece count discrepancies, damaged or defective freight
  • Load/unload freight carefully to avoid damage
  • Label freight accurately when needed
  • Comply with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures of the warehouses entered

Qualifications:

  1. Lumper experience ( highly regarded, not required)
  2. Ability to drive or commute to jobs
  3. Steel toe boots
  4. High-vis vest
  5. Ability to lift over 50lbs
