Fleetwood Metal Industires a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Otterville, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting the plants current production programs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a stamping environment, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summry Of Responsibilities

  • Support plants on current production programs where appliable
  • Troubleshoot and modify equipment and processes to support production
  • Provides specifications and quotations for purchased and manufactured parts
  • Assists with corrective actions and implements countermeasures for internal and external quality issues
  • Determines the process and methods required for machine and tool designs and new program parts
  • Create and/or update PFEMA's, Process Flowcharts and Process Books (includes Draft Op Instruction, Pkg Instruction, BOM Sheet)
  • Creates and maintains drawings and machine documentation to be utilized for manuals and lessons learned
  • Create conceptual layouts for facility (plant) and work cells
  • Participates in cross functional APQP meetings, providing due dates for various tasks appliable to Plant Manufacturing Engineering from start of program to launch.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Design & Analysis is required
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical design in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (metal forming, welding, e-coat)
  • Practical knowledge of GD&T with the capacity to communicate requirements
  • The ability to freely travel across boarders (USA)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 years' experience in mechanical design in an automotive manufacturing environment
