Position Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be a key contributor to optimizing production, Returns, and Reconditioning processes, improving product quality, and supporting the service of new products. You'll work cross-functionally to develop documentation, lead process improvements, and act as a technical resource for manufacturing and maintenance teams. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
What You Will Do:
Identify, prepare, and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality for the Service, Returns, and Reconditioning operations.
Act as the primary engineering contact for new product launches, service requests, and quality-related issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and capability/time studies across product categories.
Create and maintain accurate work instructions and ensure they are clearly understood by production teams.
Analyze and recommend new or improved processes, equipment, and capital expenditures to reduce costs and improve performance.
Coordinate and troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and fixture installations and maintenance.
Develop best practices and innovative solutions to improve output and quality.
Measure and track key process metrics to guide resource allocation and decision-making.
Source and manage external suppliers to support production and quality goals.
Ensure effective communication and knowledge transfer across departments and shifts.
Monitor budgets and forecasts, factoring them into daily operational decisions.
Participate in Kaizen events and project engineering initiatives.
Provide technical support to manufacturing and maintenance teams; serve as backup for shift supervisors as needed.
Stay informed on TTI's business trends and contribute to broader team goals.
Work overtime (OT) when needed based on operational needs
Ensure collaboration and effective communication between the US and Canadian Hub operations.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience; supervisory experience is an asset.
Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Proven ability to lead projects from concept to completion with high initiative.
Solid understanding of production systems, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Lean/Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing-related software systems.
Willingness to travel frequently during initial training and plant setup (up to 75%), and regularly post-launch (up to 50%). Some travel will be international
