Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for clients. This role offers an opportunity to showcase creativity while building lasting client relationships and contributing to the overall success of our salon. The Hair Stylist will be responsible for providing professional hair services, maintaining high standards of sanitation, and engaging with clients to ensure their satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling based on client preferences and current trends
  • Provide exceptional customer service by listening to client needs and offering professional recommendations
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with health regulations
  • Upsell retail products and additional salon services to enhance client experience and increase sales
  • Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments
  • Build strong relationships with clients through personalized service and follow-up communication
  • Stay updated on the latest hair styling techniques, products, and industry trends to deliver innovative services

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a salon setting
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon environment
  • Ability to perform various hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and styling
  • Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide professional advice
  • Retail sales experience is a plus for promoting products and additional services
  • Front desk experience is desirable for managing appointments and client interactions
  • A valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
