Information and Communication Technologies Department is presently located on 4 sites (Chedoke, McMaster, General, Henderson) with our main offices at McMaster and the General and supports the 24 hour by 7 day week needs of HHSC. The support service is accomplished by the use of on-site staff, rotating shifts, site specific assignments and on-call services using pagers. 

1. Post Secondary Education in Computer Science or equivalent 
2. 3-5 years experience in Information Technology 
3. In-depth knowledge of PC�s, networks, servers and Microsoft environment 
4. Good understanding of project management methodology and Microsoft Project 
5. Strong planning, analytical and interpretative skills 
6. Strong troubleshooting skills 
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal) 
8. Experience in a Health Care facility preferred 
9. MCP Certification preferred

The Systems Administrator 2 is responsible for working within a complex multi-operating system environment (NT, UNIX, Magic, etc). The System Administrator's role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization.
