WHAT'S THE TEAM LIKE

The Commercial Analytics team is the hub for data-driven decisions at Calgary Airports. We support parking, ground transportation, retail, advertising, and air service development by analyzing trends, modeling outcomes, and optimizing revenue. From implementing a new parking revenue management system to guiding retail lease strategies or supporting the pursuit of the best airlines to serve YYC, we turn insights into action. It's a small, collaborative team with big impact and you'll play a key role in shaping its future.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Analyze & Interpret Data: Turn complex data sets into actionable insights by identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive revenue and performance.
  • Optimize Revenue Strategies: Conduct deep analysis of competitive landscapes and recommend pricing and discount strategies to maximize revenue across parking, retail, and other commercial areas.
  • Build Business Models: Perform multi-variable ROI analysis for initiatives like retail lease negotiations, parking concessions, and air service route incentives.
  • Communicate Insights Effectively: Present data and recommendations clearly, tailoring communication for both technical and business audiences.
  • Develop Dashboards & Reports: Create and manage tools that provide real-time insights for commercial teams and partners.
  • Identify Risks & Opportunities: Use historical trends to forecast future expectations and provide well-supported recommendations to guide strategic decisions.
  • Maintain Data Accuracy: Ensure all reports, dashboards, pricing lists, and reference tables are accurate, secure, and organized for easy access.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with finance, IT, commercial, and other teams to align strategies and move projects forward.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

  • You'll need to be eligible to obtain and maintain a RAIC, don't worry – we'll help you through this For more details, check out: RAIC Program and Application Information
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, revenue management, or commercial optimization - we're open to candidates from any industry (retail, airline, hospitality, grocery, investment, etc.).
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or a related commercial or analytical field is required. Additional years of experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization, modeling, and dashboard creation.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
  • Solid business and financial acumen to support forecasts and build business cases.

WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS ARE AN ASSET

  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Revenue management experience and understanding of airport commercial operations
