What's The Team Like
The Commercial Analytics team is the hub for data-driven decisions at Calgary Airports. We support parking, ground transportation, retail, advertising, and air service development by analyzing trends, modeling outcomes, and optimizing revenue. From implementing a new parking revenue management system to guiding retail lease strategies or supporting the pursuit of the best airlines to serve YYC, we turn insights into action. It's a small, collaborative team with big impact and you'll play a key role in shaping its future.

What Are Some Of The Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze market and competitor information using public and industry-specific sources, keeping our team ahead of the curve.
• Proactively anticipate future market intelligence needs and deliver insights that drive smart decisions.
• Support strategic initiatives, stay current with industry trends, and champion innovation within the department.
• Assist in developing business cases, funding applications, annual budgets, and forecasts that shape our commercial strategy.
• Build and refine models to evaluate business opportunities, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
• Create simple forecasts and identify opportunities and risks based on historical trends, helping us plan for what's next.
• Promote and uphold safe practices across the department and encourage others to do the same.
• Help maintain data governance and quality, ensuring our analytics are always top-notch.

What Do You Need To Bring

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, including building dashboards and generating actionable insights using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver clear, actionable data presentations tailored to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience providing and receiving constructive feedback on performance, reports, and process improvements, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

• Bilingual in English and French
