Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Greenhouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail greenhouse store. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture and management, with the ability to lead a team effectively while ensuring the highest standards of plant care and customer service. This role requires a passion for plants, amazing / kind customer service and a commitment to fostering a productive and positive work environment.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of greenhouse operations, including plant care, inventory, management, and sales.
  • Supervise and train staff in horticultural practices, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and sales.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in greenhouse management.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers through exceptional service and communication.

Skills

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and training & development.
  • Proficient in retail management practices, including merchandising, pricing, and sales management.
  • Bonus: an eye for design in regards to displays and merchandising
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and staff.
  • Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
  • Ability to handle cash effectively with experience in cashiering.
