Senior Sous Chef - Food & Beverage Systems
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef – Food & Beverage Systems to support and elevate our culinary operations through strong leadership, operational excellence, and system-driven execution.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to support the chef with operations standards
- Support running the kitchen, role model standards and operating practices
- Ensures high level of cleanliness and repair of kitchen by creating and supervising kitchen cleaning schedules and overseeing equipment maintenance
- Work directly with the Culinary Director to execute Foodtastic's innovation and menu strategy across multiple brands
- Lead R&D for sauces, proteins, marinades, work sauces, toppings, beverages and menu platforms
- Work hands-on in test kitchens and restaurants to validate speed, consistency, and execution
- Translate culinary concepts into scalable products with co-manufacturers
- Support SKU rationalization, vendor consolidation, and system simplification
- Participate in national rollouts, seasonal offerings, and cross-brand culinary projects
- Build technical specs, costing sheets, SOP's, prep workflows, and recipe documentation
- Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Marketing, Beverage, Training and Culinary Managers
Qualifications:
- 5 years in multi-unit or multi-brand culinary leadership (QSR or Fast Casual preferred)
- Culinary diploma or equivalent
- Strong technical R&D experience in both food and beverage development
- Understanding of QSR systems, costing, and operational execution
- Experience working with co-manufacturers is an asset
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong understanding of operational realities and cost structure
- Comfortable in fast-paced, hands-on environment
