We are searching for an energetic, enthusiastic individual to assume some responsibilities as a part time Vice-Principal with Al-Amal Islamic Academy. Ideally, you would possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to provide a balanced advocacy for teachers, students and parents. The ability to motivate and inspire staff and students to high levels of achievement along with establishing and maintaining a respectful, orderly and purposeful school environment is essential. Preference will be given to an individual with the expertise to support the overall development of literacy and numeracy for all students.
Al-Amal Academy is located in North West Calgary and provides an Islamic learning environment that offers an accredited program of studies compliant with the Alberta curriculum. Al-Amal Academy is a K-9 school that offers a wide variety of learning opportunities including regular classroom studies as well as foreign language, computer science and sports groups. This full-time probationary position includes administrative responsibilities for the K–4 levels at the Academy. Teaching duties will be assigned based on the successful candidate's qualifications. The position begins as soon as possible and includes an administrative allowance in recognition of the leadership role. Preference will be given to candidates who hold or are actively pursuing a Master's degree.
