We are currently looking for five

Mechanical Designer

As a Mechanical Designer, you will take ownership of key design work packages for aircraft interior and systems projects, working closely with the Engineering Lead. You will create 3D models, drawings, and bills of material, ensuring designs meet technical standards, timelines, and quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

· Take ownership of design work packages with support from the assigned Engineering Lead.

· Generate 3D models, working drawings, detail drawings, and bills of material for equipment, sub-assemblies, or products using CATIA V5, AutoCAD, and/or Solidworks.

· Prepare design review presentations.

· Execute assigned work per schedule, adhering to design constraints, guidelines, and standards.

· Gather, organize, and incorporate engineering inputs provided by the assigned Engineering Lead.

· Submit work for review and acceptance to the assigned Engineering Lead or other relevant personnel.

· Report day-to-day progress to the program-assigned Engineering Lead and provide weekly/monthly updates to the Director of Engineering.

What we are looking for

· College degree in design/drafting or University degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.

· Minimum of three years of engineering design experience.

· Experience in aircraft structures, interiors or systems is an asset.

· Proficient with AutoCAD, Solidworks or CATIA V5 (Mechanical Design Workbench); experience in Generative Shape Design Workbench within CATIA V5 & 3DX PLM would be an asset.

· Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines with precision and foresight.

· Self-motivated and proactive.

· Bilingual an asset (French & English) – written and spoken.

· Base salary: $65,000 to $85,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications

Concepteur·trice mécanique

En tant que concepteur·trice mécanique, vous serez responsable de volets clés liés à la conception de projets d'aménagement intérieur et de systèmes pour aéronefs, en étroite collaboration avec le·la responsable technique. Vous réaliserez des modèles 3D, des dessins techniques et des nomenclatures, en veillant à ce que les conceptions respectent les normes techniques, les échéanciers et les exigences de qualité.

Responsabilités principales

· Assumer la responsabilité de lots de travaux de conception, avec l'appui du·de la responsable technique assigné·e.

· Produire des modèles 3D, des dessins d'ensemble et de détail, ainsi que des nomenclatures pour des équipements, sous-ensembles ou produits, à l'aide de CATIA V5, AutoCAD et/ou Solidworks.

· Préparer les présentations pour les revues de conception.

· Réaliser les tâches assignées selon le calendrier prévu, en respectant les contraintes, les lignes directrices et les normes de conception.

· Recueillir, organiser et intégrer les données techniques fournies par le·la responsable technique assigné·e.

· Soumettre les livrables pour révision et approbation au·à la responsable technique ou à toute autre personne désignée.

· Communiquer l'avancement quotidien au·à la responsable technique du programme et fournir des mises à jour hebdomadaires/mensuelles au·à la directeur·trice de l'ingénierie.

Profil recherché

  • Diplôme collégial en conception/dessin technique ou diplôme universitaire en génie mécanique ou aéronautique.
  • Minimum de trois ans d'expérience en conception technique.
  • Une expérience dans les structures, les aménagements intérieurs ou les systèmes d'aéronefs constitue un atout.
  • Maîtrise d'AutoCAD, Solidworks ou CATIA V5 (module de conception mécanique) ; une expérience avec le module Generative Shape Design de CATIA V5 et la plateforme 3DX PLM serait un atout.
  • Capacité démontrée à prioriser les tâches et à gérer des échéances concurrentes avec rigueur et anticipation.
  • Autonomie, proactivité et esprit d'initiative.
  • Bilinguisme un atout (français et anglais) – à l'oral comme à l'écrit.
