Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate has a native level of proficiency in English, will be responsible for a range of tasks including but not limited to, order picking, shipping and receiving goods, and using the forklift to load and unload skids . This role requires attention to detail to ensure smooth distribution processes and maintain safety standards. The Warehouse Worker plays a vital role in supporting shipping and receiving functions.
Duties
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems and order picker equipment
- Load and unload shipments utilizing heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Utilize shipping software to process waybills.
- Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks, including organizing stock and maintaining a clean work environment
- Ensure proper handling of heavy lifting tasks to prevent injury and damage
- Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse operations and improve efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in Canadian Warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, order picking, and use of equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklifts.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking and order processing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently (many boxes are 50-75 lbs.)
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and safety protocols
- Experience in construction or related fields is a plus but not required
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow safety guidelines diligently
