Responsibilities

Streamline Inspection Ltd. is looking for certified API 653 Inspectors. We are currently looking for applicants based in Alberta with the ability to travel to and from various sites to perform inspections throughout Canada.

Preference will be given to those based in the Calgary, Edmonton, or Red Deer areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform API 653 inspections, assessing inspection results, reporting all findings, and recommending any required repairs.
  • Act as a crew lead and manage and mentor a crew of NDT technicians and assistants who will support all inspection activities.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with both clients and co-workers.
  • Coordinate all on-site schedule logistics and contractor management.
  • Observe and follow safety rules and practices, and other safety requirements for all projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technically competent in the application of applicable codes, standards, and provincial/federal regulations related to API 653.
  • Proven ability to lead field inspections, manage deliverables, and balance multiple projects.
  • Technical writing and field inspection reporting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
  • Current certifications in First Aid, H2S Alive, Confined Space Entry/Rescue, Fall Protection, Common Safety Orientation.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding activities that may involve moving, setting up, and operating inspection equipment

ASSETS:

  • NDE certifications including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI).
  • Experience in: Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) technology, large storage tank inspections up to 300′ in diameter, CCME inspections.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience performing aboveground tank inspections.

All applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and supply a clean Class 5 Driver's Abstract and a negative drug and alcohol test.
